Why Datacenter United updated its brand

Datacenter United has updated its visual identity and website structure to better reflect how the organisation has evolved in recent years. This is not a change in strategy, ambition, or day-to-day operations. It is a refinement in how Datacenter United presents its role as a reliable, independent Belgian data center operator.

Datacenter United receives SBTi validation for emission reduction targets

Datacenter United announces that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has officially validated the organization’s near-term emission reduction targets. This approval confirms that Datacenter United’s reduction trajectory is in line with the 1.5°C scenario – the most ambitious target within the SBTi framework – and underlines the structural anchoring of sustainability within the company’s long-term strategy.

How modular colocation empowers IT integrators to unlock client growth without infrastructure limits

When clients grow, your infrastructure should grow with them. Yet many IT integrators still face capacity constraints because their colocation partner cannot scale at the same pace. Modular colocation changes that dynamic. It provides an infrastructure model that expands in line with your business, whether you need a single rack today or a fully private suite tomorrow, without vendor lock-in or unnecessary complexity.

At Datacenter United, modularity is not an added feature; it is the foundation of how we help IT integrators support their clients with confidence.

Datacenter United announces EUR 120 million funding to enable sustainable, AI-ready growth

Antwerp, 30 September 2025 – Datacenter United, the only Belgian data center operator with a nationwide network of 14 data centers spread across 12 locations, today announces a financing of EUR 120 million, to which an additional EUR 50 million of capacity may be added via an accordion facility.

The funds, which come from long-term financing by a consortium of banks, will be used for capacity expansion and sustainability projects. With this investment, Datacenter United is preparing its infrastructure for high-density workloads and the rapidly growing demand for computing power for AI applications.

“Companies in Belgium and beyond count on us to support their digital future in a secure and sustainable manner,” says Friso Haringsma, CEO of Datacenter United. “Thanks to this funding, we are building an infrastructure that is not only reliable and scalable, but also designed to support future AI applications.”
