Datacenter United

The SBTi validation confirms that Datacenter United is translating its climate ambitions into concrete, measurable, and scientifically based targets. In the coming years, the organization will continue to focus its investments on further energy efficiency, innovative cooling solutions, responsible water use, and infrastructure that is ready for high-density workloads and AI applications.

“The SBTi validation confirms that our sustainability strategy is not only ambitious, but also substantively sound,” says Friso Haringsma, CEO of Datacenter United. “We are convinced that digital progress and sustainable growth can reinforce each other. This recognition motivates us to continue on this path consistently.”

Anchored in a broader sustainability framework

The SBTi approval builds on a broad and coherent sustainability framework. Datacenter United is ISO 14001 certified, is committed to the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact (CNDCP), and collaborates with recognized initiatives and partners such as EcoVadis, Greenly, and The Green Grid.

The validation is also in line with the €120 million investment program with which Datacenter United is further focusing on efficiency improvements, energy savings, responsible water management, and future-proof digital infrastructure.

With this milestone, Datacenter United strengthens its position as a leading and forward-looking data center operator in Belgium, with a clear focus on reliability, scalability, and sustainability.
