Datacenter United

Infrastructure
Development hub

Infrastructure for next-generation workloads.
Through targeted upgrades and capacity expansion, our facilities evolve to support high-density, data-intensive and mission-critical environments across Belgium.

How we build infrastructure

Infrastructure development at Datacenter United is driven by the need to support increasingly demanding digital environments — from high-density workloads to mission-critical systems.

We continuously expand and upgrade our facilities, integrating new technologies and increasing capacity to ensure long-term performance and reliability across our data center network.

As requirements evolve, infrastructure must deliver more than capacity alone. Efficiency, resilience and scalability become essential to support these environments over time.

Each project contributes to improving sustainability, ensuring operational continuity and enabling scalable growth across our data center network.

Infrastructure developments in progress

Across our Belgian data center network, Datacenter United continuously invests in infrastructure that strengthens capacity, resilience and technical readiness. Some developments focus on additional capacity, others on efficiency improvements, redundancy or enabling more demanding workload environments.

Advanced cooling infrastructure for AI-ready environments

We are upgrading the cooling infrastructure in Machelen to support higher-density environments and AI workloads. This improves energy efficiency, creates additional capacity and reinforces the site’s role within our infrastructure network.

Construction of a new data center to strengthen our regional presence.

Datacenter United will develop a state-of-the-art data center in Ghent, adding new capacity to the existing site.

The facility will use the most advanced and efficient technical infrastructure, supporting our long-term sustainability objectives.

Capacity and efficiency infrastructure improvement to support future demand

In Antwerp, we are modernising the cooling infrastructure to improve efficiency and reinforce operational continuity. This creates a stronger technical foundation and supports increasing capacity demand.

Infrastructure expansion for future capacity growth

Oostkamp is undergoing a full infrastructure upgrade, including cooling improvements, enhanced access infrastructure and additional technical space. These investments prepare the site for future capacity growth and improved operational efficiency.
