What is Tier Facility Certification?

Tier Facility Certification is an official audit conducted by the Uptime Institute. While a Tier Design certification focuses on the theoretical design, Tier Facility examines execution in practice. Every element of the datacenter is physically inspected: are the redundant systems present? Does everything work as intended? Can maintenance be carried out without impacting uptime?
